Hello there!
Gabrielle is an illustrator for (mostly) children, and a fine artist and a botanical ink maker for (mostly) adults.
She works with graphic novel formats as well as picture books, and also enjoys illustrating within the scientific realm—including being one of the illustrators for John Ball Zoo and Van Andel Institute. When she’s not illustrating, she’s rock climbing, traveling in her Toyota FJ named after Steve Irwin’s best friend, or helping out with designs at her local letterpress studio.
Gabrielle lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she spends the spring, summer, and fall foraging for natural pigments outside with her dog and anyone else that she can convince to hike alongside her—most of the time the willing soul being her dad. In the winter, she looks forward to doing it all over again.
